Rudy Giuliani Breaking News Parodies refer to exploitable images of Donald Trump's attorney and former Mayor of New York City Rudy Giuliani looking surprised during an interview on CNN, which are typically edited to appear as if he is reacting to a variety of humorous chyrons.

Origin

On July 26th, 2018, Giuliani appeared as a guest on the CNN^[1] talk show Cuomo Prime Time, where he weighed in on the validity of attorney Michael Cohen's recent accusations that President Trump was aware of his son's meeting with Russians offering damaging information about Hillary Clinton (shown below).

The same night, Twitter user @DustinGeibel^[2] tweeted a screenshot of Giuliani making a surprised facial expression while appearing to look down toward the CNN chyron during the interview (shown below). Within 24 hours, the tweet garnered 200 retweets and 625 likes in the first day.

On July 26th, 2018, Redditor B_Fee posted the screenshot of Giuliani to r/MemeEconomy] The post received 174 upvotes and 114 comments within the first twelve hours.

Soon after, Redditor EclipsedGamer posted an image to r/dankmemes^[4] with the headline changed to "shredded cheese in the fridge at 2am" (shown below, left). The post gathered 24 upvotes. An hour later Redditor MontaineLaP posted an image to r/dankmemes^[5] with the headline "Hilary Clinton Emails Released; 50,000 Nudes Found" (shown below, right). The post received 95 upvotes within the first ten hours.

On July 27th many redditors turned this exploitable into Ligma parodies (shown below).
