About
An S Line, also known as a Red Line, refers to the premise of the South Korean "K-drama" show S Line (S라인), which centers on female protagonist, Shin Hyun-heup, who can see red lines, called "S lines," coming out of each person's head, connecting them to each of their sexual partners. The show was based on a South Korean webtoon called S Line by Kkomabi. The show started a TikTok and internet trend in 2025 of people riffing on the S Line concept in viral video skits and memes.
Origin
The S Line webtoon by Kkomabi was originally released on November 2nd, 2011, according to Fandom.[5] It's orignal run was a year long.[1]
On June 11th, 2025, season 1, episode 1 of the K-drama series S Line aired on South Korean streaming services.[1][2] The show's synopsis on IMDb[1] reads, "A young woman with the ability to see mysterious red connections between lovers discovers her secret gift is no longer unique when special glasses granting similar powers appear on the black market." The main character is named Shin Hyun-heup, who sees red lines, called "S lines," connecting people to all of their sexual partners.[3]

The first viral post about S Lines was shared on June 12th, 2025, by Twitter / X [6] user @0dan79, who shared a clip from the first episode, gaining over 2.1 million views and 5,300 likes in a month.
Memes and edits about the show and its concept surfaced in the following days. For instance, an early, viral example was shared by TikToker[7] @soonamw on June 19th, gaining over 427,000 likes in a month (shown below).

On June 21st, 2025, X[4] user @luckybaak posted a meme, showing S Lines connecting two characters from the anime and manga Gintama, receiving over 180 likes in a month (shown below).

On July 12th, 2025, TikToker[8] @mintycutz posted a video using the I Grieve Different format, adding text that read, "Her realizing the glasses give her the ability to see people's body counts / But then she sees her uncle's." Over four days, the video gained over 943,600 likes (shown below).

On July 15th, TikToker[9] @borgar101 posted a video with a POV caption about "that one bro's s-line," showing a man with a red line going from himself to his hands. In one day, the video received over 93,500 likes (shown below).
