About
"Shit, Negro! That's All You Had to Say!" is a memorable quote uttered by the character Jules Winnfield (played by Samuel L. Jackson) in the 1994 crime film Pulp Fiction. In early 2019, the quote became an image macro/reaction mostly utilized to identify a specific phrase in a sentence grabbing someone's attention (similar to the phrase "you had me at X").
Origin
The phrase comes from a scene in Quentin Tarantino's 1994 film Pulp Fiction, in which co-protagonist Jules Winnfield talks on the phone with Marsellus Wallace (portrayed by Ving Rhames). During the conversation, Winnfield utters the aforementioned phrase in response to Wallace confirming that he has sent Winston "The Wolf" Wolfe (portrayed by Harvey Keitel).[1]
