Shitposting Time!
The Shitposting Time Cat Gif was created on Febuary 2016, by the user CoolManTheMaster on the website Reddit.com.
It all started on the Me_irl subreddit (or "board"), a GIF post called "me_irl" (in compliance with the rules of that board) showed the clip of the orignal Youtube video:
Youtue Video Aaron's Animals – Pet Peeves: School Edition
The reddit user /u/CoolManTheMaster created this GIF masterpiece by responding to a request, by user /u/akmp40 to change the GIF for it to the show the "Shitposting Time" instead of what the original content showed; the regular alarm.
Although the original comment only recieved 16 postive Karma comments, the user posted his Gif to the subreddit GifExtra earning 152 karma points. This Meme is not the most famous, but it is more than a regular meme. It almost perfectly encapsulates the Internet Culture, more precisely from the boards of Gif Creators on Reddit.com.
A bit more insight would be given if you visit the subreddits like : HighQualityGifs who make high quality content, but have always been divided, the "Meta", "Shitposting", and on the other side the high standards and production value. Each side opposes itself but still mixes to give you the content that makes this subreddit great!
More recently (October 2016) they have proven to be very productive, coming together to put forward a "High Quality Gifs" Youtube video of Taylor's Swift
