Show Me Your Pet Is Clingy is a TikTok trend in which people share footage of their pets engaging in obsessive behavior towards their owners.
Origin
On January 15th, 2021, TikToker @scotttavlin posted a video of a man saying, "Show me your pet is clingy without actually saying your pet is clingy." The post received more than 86,000 reactions and 920 comments in less than two weeks (shown below).

Spread
Following the call for videos, people began sharing clips of their dogs exhibiting this type of "clingy" behavior. For example, on January 20th, 2021, TikToker @amyoliver1215 shared a video of a man and a dog. The post received more than 2 million views and 13,000 comments in less than one week (shown below, left).
Three days later, on January 23rd, TikToker @deadeyeskuma posted a video of their dog kicking open a bathroom door. The post received more than 5 million reactions and 45,000 comments in less than one week (shown below, right).
Within two weeks of the original video, more than 43,000 views included the sound.[1]
