Chaotic Nightclub Photos or @ClubPhotos_ is a gimmick Twitter account devoted to posting bizarre photographs of inebriated-looking people taken in dance clubs. The account launched in late March 2022 and became a quick success, amassing over 300,000 followers on the platform in less than one week.

History

The Twitter account Chaotic Nightclub Photos launched in March 2022.^[1] It uses the Milk Edinburgh Club Photo as its profile picture. The account made its first post^[2] on March 20th, 2022, gaining over 7,000 retweets and 131,000 likes in four days (shown below).

As of March 24th, 2022, the account has only made four posts. Its highest engagement post to date is a March 22nd post^[3] showing a man who appears to have gotten some of his dance partner's spray-on tan on his face, which gained over 15,000 retweets and 282,000 likes in less than 24 hours (shown below). Despite being active for less than one week, the account gained over 307,000 followers.^[1]

Online Presence

Many Twitter users were quick to praise the account, and some users created memes out of its photographs. For example, on March 22nd, 2022, user @shortydraws^[4] redrew the first picture the account posted, gaining over 50 retweets and 1,400 likes in two days (shown below, left). User @sanderkem^[5] posted an object labeling meme the following day based on one of its photographs, gaining over 30 retweets and 550 likes in less than 24 hours (shown below, right).
