Overview
Click to Pray is an application available for both Android and iOS devices that allow Catholics worldwide to check in and pray together.
History
On January 20th, 2019, Pope Francis launched the "Click to Pray"during his weekly public noontime prayer in St. Peter's Square. "Internet and social media are a resource of our time -- an opportunity to stay in touch with others, to share values and projects, and to express the desire to make a community," Pope Francis told the gathered crowd in Italian.[1]

The app has a simple format that allows users to document when they pray, donate to the church, and read others prayers (shown below).
Highlights
On Twitter, many posted jokes mocking the premise, some of which compared it to the game Pokemon GO (shown below, left) or the Press F to Pay Respects meme (shown below, right).
