About

Dare Market is a crypto-based Web3 platform launched by CEO Isla Rose Perfito on the Solana blockchain in September 2025. The platform allows users to post, fund or accept real-world dares and earn rewards in cryptocurrency when proof of completion is uploaded, with the platform taking a 6.9 percent commission. The platform began a marketing campaign in October 2025 under the tagline, "the most unhinged platform on the internet."

Online, the site drew reactions that compared it to the plot of the dystopian science-fiction television show Black Mirror, specifically, the episode "Common People," as well as the film Nerve, both of which feature a website that prompts young users to perform dangerous pranks for money.

History

Dare Market[10] is a Web3 platform on the Solana blockchain that enables users to post, fund or accept real-world dares and gather rewards in the form of cryptocurrency. The site was founded by CEO Isla Rose Perfito, who said in an October 2025 interview with Decrypt[1] that the site offers what "this generation wants most: money and fame."

The platform began rolling out its marketing strategy with a short advertisement posted on September 4th, 2025, to the X[2] page @daremarket, featuring a number of fashionably dressed women and a montage of potential challenges. The post, which gathered over 1,000 likes in a month, allowed the first 1,000 people signing up to gain early access to the platform.

The site launched for all users on October 31st, 2025, promoting $50,000 in rewards on their X[3] account in a post that gathered over 1,000 likes in five days. The post displayed what the landing page on the platform looks like, featuring tiles such as "Haunted Doll Challenge," "Call You Ex Like Nothing Happened" and "Facebook Group Sleeper Agent."

Features

Users access Dare Market via its website or mobile app and connect a crypto wallet that supports USDC (a stablecoin based on USD) or SOL (Solana). Users can post a dare by specifying the task, setting a bounty in crypto and choosing whether others can accept it or fund it ("fund-my-dare").

Others can accept existing dares, complete the task, typically with video proof, and then submit it for review. If validated, the bounty is paid out, with Dare Market taking a roughly 6.9 percent commission. The community can also vote or comment on the dares, with submissions being embedded under each challenge page.

Online Presence

In late 2025, Dare Market began slowly garnering attention online, particularly after its full release, spawning considerable discourse, memes and other reactions.

On September 13th, 2025, TikToker @camnotfunnyy posted a video handing out buckets of Fireball liquor to homeless people in response to a dare issued by an affiliated @dare_market TikTok[6] account, receiving over 49,400 likes and 500 comments in roughly two months.

Dare Market also began a video watermark campaign not unlike the Stake logos that appeared on Twitter / X meme pages in 2025, as seen in a November 4th, 2025, post by TikToker[5] @officialdeetee1 that showed him doing a "Looking at people's phone prank." The post gathered over 300,000 plays and 44,000 likes in a day.
