Snotty Boy Goes Sicko Mode refers to a viral video of a character credited as "Snotty Boy" from the 2006 animated film Barnyard kicking down a door and walking into the room coolly, set to the 2018 Travis Scott song "Sicko Mode." The video has been reposted numerous times and inspired a series of edits in March 2021.
Origin
On August 4th, 2006, the Nickelodeon animated film Barnyard released in North America. At one point in the movie, an antagonistic character credited as "Snotty Boy" kicks open his bedroom door karate-style and then walks smugly inside (shown below).
On August 3rd, 2018, rapper Travis Scott released his critically acclaimed song "Sicko Mode," which became the subject of memes throughout the year. One popular series is "goes sicko mode" edits, in which the song is edited over various video clips to add comedic value (examples shown below).
On January 2nd, 2019, YouTuber[1] Naganalf posted a video titled, "fat boy goes sicko mode" combining the Barnyard clip with the song, in which "Sicko Mode" plays after Snotty Boy kicks down his door (shown below). The video gained over 9.4 million views in two years as the YouTube algorithm picked it up.

The clip was reposted a number of times to YouTube, but did not see any original edits until February 26th, 2021 when YouTuber[2] Ebato posted a remastered version of the meme, garnering over 105,000 views in a month (shown below).
Video edits quickly began to increase in number. For example, on that same day YouTuber[3] Kid ASMR uploaded an edit of the video, garnering over 13,000 views in the same span of time (shown below, left). On the 27th, YouTuber[4] Incognito Leader posted an edit titled "Fat Boy Goes Sicko Mode But He Keeps Walking Just To Lose Weight" garnering over 1,000 views in a month (shown below, right).
The trend picked up considerably in March, with numerous edits going viral by the end of the month.
On March 2nd, YouTuber[5] Cl1ck Book uploaded a green screen of the meme, garnering over 200,000 views in three weeks. On March 4th, YouTuber[6] Dux uploaded a video titled "fat boy goes sicko mode v2" applying the "Sicko Mode" edit to another scene from Barnyard where the cow characters flip Snotty Boy out of his bed (shown below). The edit gained over 1.7 million views in roughly three weeks.
On March 21st, YouTuber[7] Contendo uploaded an edit of the video gaining over 317,000 views in two days (shown below, left). On March 22nd, YouTuber[8] Paul Wil slap uploaded an edit titled, "Fat boy goes sicko mode for real" garnering over 800,000 views in a day (shown below, right).
