Sorry, TikTok Isn't Available Right Now refers a series of exploitable phrasal template memes inspired by a pop-up message shown to American TikTok users trying to access the app after it was temporarily banned in the United States. The message read, "Sorry TikTok isn't available right now," with subsequent memes tweaking this phrasing to make jokes in reference to various pop culture topics.
Origin
A day before the U.S. Supreme Court issued its verdict on the United States TikTok Ban, several American TikTok users reported being unable to access the app. On January 18th, 2025,[1] the following pop-up message was shown to TikTok users in the United States;
Sorry, TikTok isn't available right now. A law banning TikTok has been enacted in the U.S. Unfortunately that means you can't use TikTok for now. We are fortunate that President Trump has indicated that he will work with us on a solution to reinstate TikTok once he takes office. Please stay tuned!

Spread
Despite the ban only being directed at American TikTok users, several international TikTok users also posted screenshots showing how they too received the aforementioned message outside American soil. On January 19th, 2025, Hong Kongese TikTok user based in Thailand posted their their Twitter[2] (now called X) account @WRI0L1NG, sharing a screenshot of the pop-up message they received. The post gathered over 28,000 reposts and 515,000 likes in two days.

Soon after discussions of the pop-up message gained traction online, several internet users began posting memes inspired by the snowclone. On January 19th, 2025, Redditer[3] Yadahoom uploaded an edit referencing Star Wars to the /r/PrequelMemes subreddit. The post gathered over 9,500 points in one day.

Also on January 19th, Twitter / X[4] user @MathMatize uploaded an edit referencing a mathematical concept. The post gathered over 16,000 likes in a day.
