Steve Bisciotti Chicken Tenders is a copypasta based on an interaction a fan had with Baltimore Ravens owner Steve Bisciotti. In the story, the fan recounts how Bisciotti gifted him some chicken tenders, inspiring a series of memes and jokes in the Ravens fan community.
Origin
On December 7th, 2017, Redditor [1] busstees posted a story in the "Steve Bisciotti appreciation thread" on the /r/ravens subreddit. They wrote, "Met him once at Countdown to Kickoff. He was in Mex right next to us with his people. Came right over and took a pic with us and gave us some chicken tenders. Good dude." The post (shown below) received more than 190 points in four days.
Spread
Shortly after the story was posted, fans in the subreddit began posting mock stories that end with them being gifted chicken tenders. Redditor[2] supa8 wrote, "I met him at the bowling alley and he is a damn good bowler. We went over, chatted, got a pic and he gave us some chicken tenders. Nice guy." More followed suit. Redditor[3] the craiggles wrote, "Saw him in the mirror maze in the Ripleys Museum downtown. He helped us find the exit, took some pictures, gave us some chicken tenders, then went back in to help more people. Real decent guy." Redditor[4] RSC14 wrote, "Same met him once at the Baltimore aquarium. Came right up to us, took our picture, then gave us some chicken tenders. Okay guy in my book."
On December 9th, Redditor[5] TrendingMemes posted an image macro (shown below, left)) of chicken tenders with the caption "Ravens Owner reportedly buying majority share in Tyson Foods in attempt to supply ravens ticket holders with free tenders at every home game."
On December 8th, Redditor[6] TrendingMemes posted a webcomic exploitable of Death meeting Steve Bisciotti and receiving chicken tenders. The post (shown below, right) received more than 75 points (92% upvoted) in three days.
On December 10th, Redditor[7] Cdnraven posted "Petition to ban all food related memes from r/ravens for eternity." The post received more than 175 points (88% upvoted) in less than 24 hours.
