Study Time vs. Game Time is a two-panel exploitable based on a webcomic depicting the same character who is tired when studying and alert when playing video games. Online, the original comic has been adopted as an ironic meme.

Origin

On November 23rd, 2012, comics artist Jod 8riew posted the original comic on Facebook. [7] Originally posted in Thai, the comic received more than 37,000 reactions, 560 comments and 3,400 shares in six years.

On February 10th, 2013, 9GAG [1] user jedd07r[2] published an English-language version of the comic, depicting a student falling asleep while studying and highly-alert while gaming. The post received more than 35,000 points in less than six years.

Three days later, 9GAG published the comic on its Twitter [2] page. The post received more than 2,400 retweets and 575 likes in less than six years.

Later that year, on July 29th, 2013, Facebook [3] user ThptCongHoaLacSonHoaBinh published the comic in Vietnamese (shown below, left).

Three years later, on June 19th, 2016, the website profilepicturequotes posted a version of the comic, replacing the words "Game Time" with "Facebook Time" (shown below, center).[4]

On October 23rd, 2016, Facebook[5] group thebestofgaming1 posted a live-action version of the comic. The post received more than 8,300 reactions and 2,500 shares in two years.

Two years later, on June 18th, 2018, an anonymous 4chan [6] user ironically posted the image with a third caption that read "101% true" (shown below, right).

Of all the things that have changed over the internet with time, the term gamers probably been bastardized and parodied the hardest beyond recognition
