Wonderfilled @WFDgames 0 In fact we worked a lot with Larry Elmore, Steve Once, and Jeff Dee to make the art for GiantLands more representative and inclusive. The premise? What if in the future there were no white people? James Ward loved it too. Larry always tried to sneak in people of color into his TSR art, though he was often denied his attempts to make D&D less white. So we decolonized the RPG, and made a future where the USA and white people don't exist. x.com/WFDgames/statu... "In fact, the subjects of violence and racism and their relationship to the RPG we love has been a topic of study for me, because it's a very personal story. I've seen firsthand how a person, a close friend, went from passionate RPG compatriot in boyhood to White nationalist mass murderer in adulthood. Games don't cause violence, but as media, they can affect users in deep and personal ways. So GiantLands was my chance to make something different with the people that made me. There are no "white" people in Giant Lands, or people of any color, because for me those constructs don't exist. Alone as "race" in my game. I like to imagine a future America where we've all blended together into one tribe. That's why I chose "species" and Jim did my bidding; I was his boss. I didn't like hearing it, "Yes, Boss!" because he was and always will be someone I look up to. Growing up, we had a dream here in the USA, one where we wouldn't have racism anymore. The Plane of air What the- Is this a dream? Last thing I remember is renting a room with the rest of the group and then going to sleep. Our mission is in a mountain that kinda "connects" to the plane of air. So maybe it is interacting with my magic? Like one of those "astral projections" type of thing. Hey! I wasn't wearing these clothes before, so how did they... Well, nothing here can harm me and my body is probably still in our room, so I guess I will just wait a few hours. Maybe I will be back once I wake up. (The creatures here don't seem to notice me. I'm like a ghost.) My only worry is something weird happening to my body now there's a direct connection happening between the plane and me. Meanwhile in Jush the group's Ush room... Vush Eh, it should be fine.
