Steal a Brainrot is a Roblox game in which players earn money to buy brainrot animals while also trying to steal brainrot characters from other players. The game was created and released by Roblox user BRAZILIAN SPYDER on May 15th, 2025. Within a month, Steal a Brainrot became one of the highest-played games on the site, garnering over 5.1 million favorites and an reported average player count of roughly 415,000 by late June 2025. The game inspired numerous viral clips and Let's Play videos on sites like TikTok and YouTube as it went viral.

History

On May 15th, 2025, Roblox[1] user BRAZILIAN SPYDER released Steal a Brainrot. In the game, players can purchase a wide variety of brainrot animals, including characters like Chimpanzini Banini, Tim Cheese, Tralalero Tralala and more. Players must also steal other players' brainrot characters by breaking into their bases and running off with characters in their collections. Additionally, players can buy gear, such as slaps, to troll players.



The game became very popular over the next month. According to RoMonitorStats,[2] the game averaged an estimated 415,000 players and 1.1 billion lifetime visits by June 24th, 2025.

Online Presence

Steal a Brainrot garnered a strong online presence throughout June 2025 as the subject of Let's Play videos and gameplay clips. For example, on June 9th, 2025, YouTuber[3] WaterStarGaming posted a video about the supposed "rarest" brainrot character in the game, garnering over 3 million views in two weeks. On June 15th, TikToker[4] @proxfyp posted a clip of a player screaming after getting one of their brainrots stolen, garnering over 800,000 views in nine days.

On June 17th, Redditor u/Niteshade_YT posted a Cat Looks Inside meme to the /r/bloxymemes[5] subreddit about the game, referring to it as "brainrot slop," garnering over 640 upvotes in a week. On the same day, YouTuber[6] Foltyn posted a video where he plays the game with "infinite luck," garnering over 3 million views in a week.
