Mattel's Barney Reboot refers to the upcoming Barney The Dinosaur film which is part of a larger reboot of the franchise. The film stars Daniel Aluuya, previously starring in Black Panther, Get Out, and Nope.
History
On October 18th, 2019, it was announced that a total overhaul of the Barney IP was in the works, with a children animated series and a live-action reboot film being in development. No new developments came out until an interview on July 2nd, 2023 was conducted which declared that the unnamed Barney movie was made to be similar to A24 films, news which was reported on July 3rd by the Twitter page @DiscussingFilm[1] (shown below).
