About
Steam Deck OLED is the updated version of the Steam Deck, a portable PC gaming device developed by Valve. The original device which released in 2021 is to be phased out of production partially and replaced by the Steam Deck OLED as it's new standard and high end Steam Deck experience.
History
On November 13th, 2023, Valve announced the Steam Deck OLED. An updated version of the Steam Deck that includes multiple improvements, the title improvement being the OLED screen (announcement tweet[1] shown below).
Steam Deck OLED 512GB and 1TB models will be available for sale on November 16th, 10AM PST in the US, Canada, UK, and EU on Steam (and in Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, and Hong Kong via Komodo).

The device has a larger 7.4 inch OLED touchscreen supporting 1200 × 800 resolution and 90hz refresh rate, increased battery life, and a variety of other technical improvements that contribute to a higher quality of use.
The Steam Deck OLED is not intended to be a new console all together, but instead aims to replace the original model as a standard experience.
