On October 10th, 2021, iFunny^[5] user pure_israeli_across posted an image macro showing Frodo from Lord of the Rings staring forward with a caption beginning, "me taking one last look at the pussy," gaining two smiles in six months, acting as a precursor to the format. On December 9th, 2021, Twitter^[1] user @Java_jigga posted an image of Paul Walker staring into the camera with a smile on his face, taken from a scene in Furious 7 where he looks at Vin Diesel's character as they drive in their cars. The caption reads, "Taking my last look at pussy before getting the Dune RTS," referencing an upcoming real-time-strategy game based on the Dune franchise (shown below). The post gained over 21,900 likes and 1,800 retweets in four months.

The tweet was screenshotted and reposted to Facebook^[2] page >Implying video games are fun on December 10th, gaining over 4,400 reactions and 420 shares in four months. That same day, Redditor SuperMekaKaiju posted a meme to /r/shittyeldenring^[3] using the image, writing, "Taking my last look at pussy before getting Elden Ring," gaining over 160 upvotes in the same span of time. On December 11th, Facebook^[4] page I watch blade runner on repeat posted a photoshop of the tweet referencing the scorpion jacket from the movie Drive and the Blade Runner 2049 jacket, gaining over 800 reactions and 200 shares in four months (shown below).

The format saw consistent use on Twitter throughout the first quarter of 2022. On April 4th, Twitter^[6] user @Name112a7 posted the image, writing, "Taking my last look at pussy before Lego Star Wars the Skywalker Saga comes out," gaining over 2,800 likes and 340 retweets in 10 days (shown below). On April 12th, MEL Magazine^[7] published an article on the meme titled, "‘LAST LOOK AT PUSSY’ MEMES REMIND US TO BE GRATEFUL IN THE MOMENT."
