#TerryRichardson4Topps is a Twitter hashtag associated with hypothetical scenarios of raunchy photo shoots for Topps baseball trading cards if they were taken by Terry Richardson, a controversial fashion and portrait photographer best known for shooting Miley Cyrus' music video for "Wrecking Ball" and photographs of model Kate Upton.

Origin

On October 17th, 2013, Twitter user David Roth tweeted a joke about his excitement for new baseball cards shot my Terry Richardson.




Spread

Following Roth's tweet, several other Twitter users began replying with other Richardson-style baseball cards, inspiring Twitter user netw3rk to suggest using the hashtag "#TerryRichardson4Topps."




According to the Twitter analytics site Topsy,[2] tweets using the hashtag peaked on October 17th, 2013. On the following day, the Internet news blog UpRoxx[1] published an article about the trending hashtag, which highlighted several notable tweet examples.
