The song parodies the British singer Sophie Ellis-Bextor's 2001 song "Murder on the Dancefloor," changing its lyrics to reflect @ChristyCoysh's reaction to accidentally shipping food he ordered to the wrong address. The song began to trend on TikTok in early 2024.

Origin

The song "Murder on the Dancefloor" was first released by British singer Sophie Ellis-Bextor in 2001, with a 2017 upload of the track to the singer's YouTube^[1] page gathering over 104 million views in six years (seen below). The song notably made an appearance in the 2023 movie Saltburn and a meme trend with a man dancing to it in January 2024, which contributed to its rise in popularity on TikTok in late 2023 and early 2024.

On January 19th, 2024, TikToker^[2] @christycoysh posted a parody of the song to joke about ordering food that accidentally gets shipped to his Nan or grandmother's house. The video gathered over 8 million views and 1.2 million likes in 10 days (seen below),
