About

This Is When the Feeling Sinks In refers to a trend on TikTok set to a remix of Taylor Swift's song "Come Back…Be Here" and Cali Swag District's "Teach Me How To Dougie." The most prominent trend using the sound has users present a situation with a potentially life-changing or difficult outcome in the first half, then dance as the beat to "Teach Me How To Dougie" begins, presenting the unexpected positive outcome via on-screen captions. The remix was posted to TikTok in March 2022 and went viral throughout April, inspiring over 150,000 videos by May.
