Throat Tattoo Jokes, also known as Bad Neck Tattoos, refers to a series of Tattoo Fail posts making fun of neck tattoos with sexually suggestive imagery and words poorly chosen by the person. Meme creators on Twitter / X called the neck tattoos "throat tattoos" akin to the slang term "throat" meaning oral sex. Notable tattoos a part of the trend are a "Limitless" neck tattoo and a "CP" neck tattoo, among others. The trend in 2024, calling the men "throat goats," similar to Nancy Reagan.

Origin

On April 17th, 2024, X^[1] user @kanjlrou tweeted two photos of his new neck tattoo which read, "Limitless." He captioned the post, "new limitless tat💯♾," receiving over 4,600 likes in 13 days (shown below).

The post went viral after users began quoting it to make fun of the tattoo. The first user to do so was X^[2] user @travworldpeace on April 17th, 2024, who wrote, "That throat got no limit huh? 👀," receiving over 10,000 likes in 13 days (shown below).

Later on April 17th, 2024, multiple users posted similar quotes with "throat" jokes, such as X^[3] user @RaineyOvalle, who posted a picture of himself, reading, "Limitless throat, brother?" gaining over 72,000 likes in 13 days (shown below, left). Also on April 17th, 2024, X^[4] user @ayeejuju quoted, writing, "limitless throat is INSANE," receiving over 177,000 likes in 13 days (shown below, right).

On April 29th, 2024, X^[5] user @notcrypticno tweeted a photo of multiple neck tattoos, writing, "got a whole new collection of throat goats 😋," receiving over 29,000 likes in a day (shown below, left).

The post received numerous viral quotes, like one shared by X^[6] user and YouTuber @JustinWhang who highlighted and questioned the "CP" tattoo, gaining over 13,000 likes in a day (shown below, right).
