About

The TikTok Chicken Wars of 2023, also known as the TikTok Chicken War, refers to a series of duets and stitches on TikTok of chicken farmers showing off their flocks of chickens, humorously challenging each other to a fight with their respective chicken armies. The videos started in mid-2023 when TikToker Dylan Bezjack (@dylan_bezjack) posted the first video. The trend led to mass discourse and reposts across social media, such as on Twitter in June 2023.

Origin

On May 26th, 2023, TikToker[1] @dylan_bezjack posted a video in which he was walking with a flock of his chickens, telling the camera that he and his "posse" were on their way to "kick some ass and take some names." Over the course of 10 days, the video received roughly 1.4 million plays and 350,900 likes (shown below, left). Thereafter, a slew of stitches surfaced on the app, starting the "TikTok Chicken Wars of 2023" trend. The first creator to post a stitch was TikToker[2] @yourmomspoolboy_7_ on May 31st, in which he challenged @dylan_bezjack with his own flock, gaining roughly 12 million plays and 3.2 million likes in five days (shown below, right).
