On July 13th, 2021, GQ^[1] posted a story about the fashion of The French Dispatch cast at the Cannes film festival, leading with the image featuring Timothée Chalamet, Wes Anderson, Tilda Swinton, Bill Murray (shown below).

Spread

The video quickly spread around Twitter, where it was parodied by people attaching four related but different vibes to the celebrities. One early example was tweeted by @MrTimCallanan,^[2] who compared the celebrities to the vibes of the four Tennis Major tournaments, gaining over 910 retweets and 6,500 likes (shown below, left). User @CraigSJ^[3] tweeted the photo with a caption comparing each celebrity to a neighborhood in Manhattan, gaining over 30 retweets and 300 likes (shown below, right).

Multiple users compared the photo to various eras of musical artist Beck. User @sokane1^[4] joked that the picture represented four decades of Beck, gaining over 160 retweets and 1,000 likes (shown below, left). User @JamesUrbaniak^[5] made a similar joke, comparing each of the celebrities to one of Beck's albums, gaining over 150 retweets and 1,600 likes (shown below, right).
