About
Tizzy and Mati's Wedding is a series of memes about a hypothetical wedding between TikTokers Tizzy (@iixtizzyxii) and Mati (@fbi4gent). In late May and early June 2024, users began tagging Tizzy in a video of Mati dressed in Hajime Kashimo cosplay, who is a character from Jujutsu Kaisen, a series that Tizzy's content largely revolves around. Tizzy and Mati began making back-and-forth videos about each other as memes shipping them and imagining their wedding went viral.
Origin
On May 26th, 2024, TikToker[1] @fbi4gent, aka Mati, posted a video posing in Kashimo cosplay, garnering over 1.2 million views in just over a week (shown below, left). Some viewers began tagging @iixtizzyxii, a TikToker known for his anime coverage content and in particular, his Jujutsu Kaisen coverage. Tizzy is known to like the character Kashimo.
On June 2nd, @iixtizzyxii posted a video to TikTok[2] responding to the tags. In the video, he jokes that he considers her post a proposal and claims he's going to invite all of their respective followers to the wedding. The video gained over 1.6 million views in four days (shown below, right).

The two TikTokers continued to make back-and-forth videos referencing their wedding as other TikTokers started posting memes alluding to the hypothetical wedding. On June 3rd, 2024, Mati posted a video to TikTok[3] captioned, "this is your invitation to the wedding," garnering over 1.2 million views in three days (shown below, left).
On June 4th, Tizzy posted a video to TikTok[4] responding to a meme about the two and further hyping them up as a couple, garnering over 700,000 views in two days (shown below, right).

On June 5th, 2024, Mati posted a video on TikTok[5] in which she shows flight tickets on her laptop and then walks off camera with carry-on luggage, writing in the description, "yk damn well I had to use me and Tizzyβs theme song π," garnering over 720,000 views in a day (shown below). Some speculated that Mati was flying out to meet Tizzy.
