Uranium Fever is a song written by Penny Britt and performed by Elton Britt. The song gained popularity through its inclusion in Fallout 4's soundtrack, resulting in several fan videos and parodies created by the game's fans on YouTube.

Origin

"Uranium Fever" was released in 1955 as a single on 7-inch 45RPM and 10-inch 78RPM vinyl records.[1] It was first posted to YouTube by CONELRAD6401240 on June 4th, 2010 (shown below), where it received over 1.4 million views in over twelve years.[2] The song was reuploaded to YouTube by CivilDefenseSpot on September 7th, 2011, where it received over 9.9 million views in over eleven years.[3] The song was later included in the soundtrack of the videogame Fallout 4, which was released on November 10th, 2015,[4] via the in-game radio station Diamond City Radio.[5][6]

Spread

On December 28th, 2015, YouTube user Richard Wisla posted a video of himself performing a piano cover of the song.[7] The video (shown below, left) received over 27,000 views in over seven years. On June 29th, 2018, YouTube user Allgeron Animations posted an animatic video using the song.[8] The video (shown below, right) received over 75,000 views in over four years.

On May 5th, 2021, YouTube user TheGlizzyGamer posted a fan video using the song along with dogelore character Cheems. [9] The video (shown below, left) received over 97,000 views in over one year. On March 7th, 2022, YouTube user Proton 64 posted a video using the song with Soyjak and Gigachad. [10] The video (shown below, right) received over 360,000 views in over one year.
