Vaporeon Copypasta

About

Vaporeon Copypasta is a lewd copypasta that revolves around the video game character Vaporeon and involves its human-to-Pokemon compatibility for breeding. Since its inception in 2018, the copypasta is often cited whenever the topic of Vaporeon or lewd acts with Pokemon comes up in conversation, resulting in the infamous copypasta being referenced in numerous memes over the years.

Origin

On December 4th, 2018, the copypasta was first posted on the 4chan board /vp/ by an anonymous poster.^[1] In the copypasta, the author explains how they believe a female Vaporeon’s physical characteristics and movepool make it the most ideal Pokémon for sexual intercourse with human males, with specific examples taken from the video games being used as the reasoning and logic for their conclusion (shown below).

Hey guys, did you know that in terms of male human and female Pokémon breeding, Vaporeon is the most compatible Pokémon for humans? Not only are they in the field egg group, which is mostly comprised of mammals, Vaporeon are an average of 3"03' tall and 63.9 pounds. this means they're large enough to be able to handle human d--ks, and with their impressive Base Stats for HP and access to Acid Armor, you can be rough with one. Due to their mostly water based biology, there's no doubt in my mind that an aroused Vaporeon would be incredibly wet, so wet that you could easily have sex with one for hours without getting sore. They can also learn the moves Attract, Baby-Doll Eyes, Captivate, Charm, and Tail Whip, along with not having fur to hide nipples, so it'd be incredibly easy for one to get you in the mood. With their abilities Water Absorb and Hydration, they can easily recover from fatigue with enough water. No other Pokémon comes close to this level of compatibility. Also, fun fact, if you pull out enough, you can make your Vaporeon turn white.

Spread

The Vaporeon copypasta then spread to other platforms in subsequent years. For example, on April 4th, 2019, a screenshot of the copypasta was posted on the subreddit /r/unwholesomememes, by Redditor SmootheKettle,^[2] where it received over 50 upvotes in five years (shown below, left).

On April 14th, the same screenshot was spliced with a reaction image of Dr. Phil and posted on /r/dankmemes by Redditor
jk7827,^[3] where it received over 5,400 upvotes and 120 comments in a similar timeframe (seen below, right). In the thread, users expressed dread and anticipation over the possible Rule 34 illustrations that could be inspired by the copypasta.

Quickly after its spread on Reddit, YouTuber ArkadaQT^[6] uploaded a video of the entire copypasta being read by VTuber Arkada, where it would go on to gain over 1.2 million views in over five years while becoming a common post to link to people asking about the copypasta (shown below).

On January 3rd, 2020, an image^[4] referencing the copypasta was posted by Redditor jojojojojonesy on /r/dogelore, where it gained over 1,600 upvotes and 70 comments in roughly four years (shown below, left). Another image^[5] referencing the copypasta and the “I wish to be IRRESISTIBLE to men!” exploitable image was posted to /r/furry_irl on April 21st by Redditor clockworkzorua, where it received 1,500 upvotes and 40 comments in four years (seen below, right).
