On February 17th, 2020, Redditor Frosty-Firez posted the scene as a reaction image template to /r/dankmemes,^[1] gaining over 84,000 points (shown below).

Spread

Over the following days, the template spread on the subreddit, with several examples gaining tens of thousands of points. For example, user Mijuzz7^[2] posted an example that gained over 49,000 points (shown below, left). Normie333^[3] posted an example that gained over 13,000 points (shown below, right).

The template was posted to /r/MemeEconomy^[4] on February 17th as well, gaining over 180 points (shown below). The jokes were covered by StayHipp.^[5]
