We Will Boil Him Soon Alhamdulillah is a copypasta that's usually accompanied by an image of a groomed Maltipoo dog. First used by a Twitter user in May 2020, in April 2021 the copypasta gained widespread recognition after it was made into a self-replicating tweet. The word "Alhamdulillah" means "praise be to God" in Arabic.
Origin
On January 15th, 2020, an Redditor DacianaElliot posted a photograph of a groomed Maltipoo dog to the /r/Eyebleach[1][2] subreddit (shown below). The post received 44 upvotes (58% upvoted) prior to being deleted.
On January 16th, 2020, Twitter[3] account @dogsoutofcontxt posted the photograph, with the post gaining over 60 retweets and 430 likes before being deleted (tweet no longer available).
On January 18th, 2020, Twitch streamer Sanchovies (@Sanchovies) tweeted[4] the photograph of the dog, pairing it with the Amharic Curse copypasta. The tweet received over 250 likes. On March 16th, Sanchovies[5] then used the image to ratio another user, referring to the dog as "Albanian chicken."
In the following months, the image was presumably used by Twitter user @Petrov43782074, a now-deleted Balkan Memes shitposting account followed by @Sanchovies and users on his Discord[6][7] server. On May 7th, @Petrov43782074 tweeted[8] "Alhamdulillah our beautiful chicken 'Jeremy' from city Shakhtinsk in Kazakhstan countryside. Excited to boil him soon for traditional holiday stew feast." The tweet (shown below) received over 35 retweets and 140 likes, marking the earliest use of the copypasta online.
On July 24th and 27th, 2020, Twitter[9][10] user @timo77lol tweeted "we will boil him soon alhamdulillah," with the tweets gaining 10 and 13 likes. On July 28th, 2020, @timo77lol tweeted[11] the phrase again, now accompanying it with the photograph of the dog. The tweet received 11 retweets and over 70 likes (shown below).
Spread
In 2020 and 2021, @timo77lol made multiple tweets[12][13][14] consisting of the phrase "we will boil him soon alhamdulillah" and the image of the dog, with the tweets typically gaining between 100 and 200 likes. In two threads,[15][16] Twitter user @Petrov43782074 was mentioned, implying a possible connection between him and @timo77lol.
On March 29th, 2021, @timo77lol[17] made a self-replicating tweet using Twitter's conversational ads function (shown below).
The self-replicating tweet gained viral spread online, with multiple users posting it in the following weeks.[18][19] The viral spread of the tweet resulted in the phrase "we will boil him soon alhamdulillah" being used as a copypasta, also paired with other images (example shown below, left). On April 13th, 2021, a doctored screenshot of Elon Musk tweeting[20] the meme was circulated (shown below, right).
