About

Weekjaks refers to a series of Chudjak and Soyjak characters based on days of the week which achieved popularity on X / Twitter in mid-November 2024. The characters express their fondness of a certain day of the week, and are often violent towards Soyjaks who appreciate other days in memes.

Origin

On November 12th, 2024, X^[1] / Twitter user @BucharatiKanbu posted an image of an excited Chudjak with the slogan "I ❤️ Tuesday" edited onto his t-shirt, writing, "My buddy was complaining about Tuesday so I made tuesdayjak to cheer him up and now he’s stuck in my head and I keep laughing to myself". The post (shown below) received over 5,300 reposts and 68,000 likes on the platform in two days.

Spread

On November 13th, X^[2] user @buttmazagine made a follow-up meme, imagining a Chudjak in a t-shirt with the slogan "I ❤️ Wednesday" killing the Tuesdayjak and standing over his corpse in the same excited pose as his predecessor (account since removed; post shown below).

The trend continued in the following days as users created images of Thursdayjak and Fridayjak and imagined interactions between the characters. For example, on November 14th, 2024, X^[3] user @joltjot posted an edit in which Thursdayjak stood over the corpses of Tuesdayjak and Wednesdayjak, with the post (shown below) gaining over 2,300 reposts and 33,000 likes in one day.
