On May 26th, 2020, Twitter^[1] user @HotJeey posted the earliest available variation of the meme. They tweeted, "YG is a tra//sh ???? YES YES YES 👇 👇 👇" (shown below).

Spread

The meme spread slowly over the next few weeks, hitting an early inflection point on June 1st, 2020. That day, Twitter^[2] @SpacestationGG tweeted, "are you supporting #PrideMonth with us? yes yes yes 👇 👇 👇." The tweet received more than 2,900 likes and 260 retweets in less than one year (shown below, left).

That month, inversions of the meme appeared online, too. Twitter^[3] user @KSEULGIors tweeted the earliest known variation of "no no no" on June 9th (shown below, center).

Months later, on December 8th, Twitter^[4] user @Miucoladaa tweeted, "Is your account a safe place for transgender users?" The tweet received more than 839,000 likes and 114,000 retweets in less than three months (shown below, right).

The meme continued to spread throughout the next few months. On February 21st, 2021, Twitter^[5] @SiegelForTexas tweeted, "Should Texas forgive all utility bills this month?" The tweet received more than 648,000 likes and 11,000 retweets in less than two days (shown below).

On February 22nd, the website StayHipp^[6] published an article on the meme.
