You Niggas / Y'all Niggas is a parody meme reference that utilizes multiple different gangster cartoon characters in a way to mock unironic Hustle Culture memes and phrases. Most of the memes of this type will feature emojis and have deep-fry effects added to them.

Origin

One of the first examples of this format in use is found on Facebook, reposted by the account Tairy Green Machine^[1] on March 17th, 2018, original post on iFunny unknown. The image of the Gangster Pillsbury Doughboy with the text photoshopped on top of it (shown below).

Spread

In the following months, the meme type spread to other platforms and even outlasted the initial deep-fried memes trend that helped birth it. Real-life pictures and examples began to be incorporated into the trend, as seen in the tweet by Twitter user @Macatron^[2] on September 17th, 2019 (shown below).

The meme continued to evolve with different things being able to be used as the catalyst and incorporated referential knowledge to them. An example of this is seen in the meme posted to iFunny by user crackD^[3] on October 12th, 2020, where Slender Man was used as the punchline (shown below).
