You Snored, You Farted, You Talked, You Had A Nightmare, also known as You Gasped, You Snored, You Talked, You Had A Nightmare, refers to an exploitable video and image showing a screenshot from a sleep tracker app that records people's sleep cycles, sending notifications for various actions with timestamps that took place. The image became a viral exploitable meme in August 2022 on iFunny in which users added comedic sounds to each of the recorded segments presented in the app's screenshot. The format later went viral in January 2025 on X / Twitter and TikTok.

Origin

On August 23rd, 2022, iFunny[1] user @DiagnosedCancerPatient posted the earliest version of the You Snored, You Farted, You Talked, You Had A Nightmare meme, which features a screen recording of a sponsored image from the ShutEye app and random sounds edited to each of the tracks being shown in the image. The post (seen below) amassed over 19,000 likes and 255 comments in three years.

Spread

The video and image of the sleep tracker app gained popularity as an exploitable video in the next few years, with X, TikTok and Reddit users adding random sounds to the segmented tracks displayed in the app.

For instance, on January 26th, 2025, X[2] user @LocalBateman posted a version of the meme with the text "You Gasped, You Snored, You Talked, You Had A Nightmare," which received more than 2.8 million views and 67,000 likes in two days.

On December 15th, 2024, TikTok[3] user @polski_tekst used the exploitable video to add funny sounds related to the segments presented in the sleep cycle track app (seen below), receiving roughly 134,000 plays and 14,000 likes in a month.
