Yung Gravy Loves MILFs refers to a pop culture axiom centered around American rapper Yung Gravy (Matthew Raymond Hauri) and his notoriety for being a self-professed MILF lover. Yung Gravy rose to prominence after his 2016 viral hit "Mr Clean," which included early references to his purported love for older women that remained prevalent in his music over the following years. In mid-2022, Yung Gravy garnered viral fame for his relationship with TikTok star Addison Rae's mother, Sheri Nicole Easterling, which subsequently resulted in a public beef with Rae's dad Monty Lopez.

Origin

On September 8th, 2016, Yung Gravy released his track "Mr Clean" on Soundcloud.^[1] The track gathered over 27 million streams in six years (seen below). The song notably contains the lyrics, "I'm with your mom in the kitchen / Makin' blueberry muffins / Must be Thanksgiving / 'Cause your bitch want the stuffin," as one early reference of many that point to Yung Gravy's long standing affection for older women.

Yung Gravy continued to gain virality for his unabashed enthusiasm for MILFs in interviews and TikTok videos over the years. For example, in a 2019 interview with Eugene Weekly,^[2] Yung Gravy talked about how he incorporated his love for MILFs into his marketting strategy, even convincing his record label to buy ad space on Pornhub with the tagline "These MILFs want you to listen to Yung Gravy."

His adoration for MILFs continued to spread in the early 2020s, generating discussions and memes online from fans. In a TikTok^[3] from February 5th, 2021, Yung Gravy Stitched a video of a fan saying "Yung Gravy looks like he would take one on three expensive dates and then fuck my mom," gathering over 20 million plays and 5 million likes in over a year (seen below).

On December 13th, 2021, TikToker^[4] @lil1zzyvert posted a video showing her and her mom being invited to a Yung Gravy concert and subsequently being called backstage. The video gathered over 9.6 million plays and over 2 million likes in 10 months (shown below).

On February 2nd, 2022, TikToker^[5] @ryan_shaffer posted a similar video of him and his mother being invited backstage at a Yung Gravy concert, gathering over 4 million plays and over 1 million likes in roughly eight months (seen below).

Monty Lopez vs. Yung Gravy and Sheri Easterling

In July 2022, Yung Gravy found himself in the midst of TikTok star Addison Rae's family feud. Rae's mother Sheri Nicole and Yung Gravy posted a series of TikToks publicly flirting with each other in mid-2022, soon after which Yung Gravy went on the BFFs podcast to deem her "The MILF" (seen below).

Sheri's ex-husband and Rae's father subsequently issued a challenge to Gravy, asking him to participate in a boxing match (shown below). The Monty Lopez vs. Yung Gravy and Sheri Easterling feud seemingly ended with Gravy logging on to refuse the challenge, going on to say that Lopez was embarrassing himself and his children.

On August 28th, 2022, Yung Gravy and Sheri Nicole Easterling attended the 2022 VMAs together. According to People Magazine,^[6] Yung Gravy reportedly called Sheri Nicole a MILF at a pre-show interview, saying "I'm into MILFs and she's kind of the queen of MILFs, so I figured it was just a perfect match." The event garnered the ire of several internet users, most of whom expressed their sympathy for Addison Rae after a year of witnessing her parents perceivably "embarrass" her. A post from Twitter user @posssiblykiara^[7] on August 28th addressing this received 20,000 likes in a day (seen below, left), while another post that same day from Twitter user @baileycarlin^[8] gathered over 90,000 likes in a day (seen below, right).

The event also caught the ire of Monty Lopez, who took to Instagram to post a story that said, “Unbothered! Thank you @youngravy for taking the leftovers! I would rather spend time with my daughter and 2 grandkids that SheriNicole made me abandon as a child inorder to be with her!” The story, now deleted, was reuploaded on August 28th in the form of a tweet from Twitter user @mattxiv, gathering over 100,000 likes and 5,000 retweets in a day (seen below).
