MILF Manor is a reality TV series produced by TLC where eight MILFs live in a mansion with their sons in the pursuit of love. The trailer for the series was released in December 2022 and inspired memes and reactions online, many comparing it to the fake TV show "MILF Island" from 30 Rock. MILF Manor premiered on January 15th, 2023.

Announcement

On December 14th, 2022, TLC released a trailer for their upcoming reality series MILF Manor to YouTube^[1] and Twitter^[2], garnering over 35,000 views on the former and 10,000 likes and 4.3 million views on the latter in a day (shown below).

Welcome to #MILFManor! Eight hot moms leave home for the chance to find love with men half their age, but they're greeted with a shocking twist. The new series premieres January 15th at 10/9c on @TLC.

Release

The first episode of MILF Manor aired on January 15th, 2023. In the episode, it was revealed that the "shocking twist" to the show is that the MILFs' sons are also living in the house and will be dating the MILFs. On January 17th and 18th, the TLC YouTube channel uploaded clips from the show (shown below, left and right).

Pre-Release Reactions

After TLC posted the trailer to Twitter, the terms "MILF Manor" and "MILF Island" trended on the site as users reacted to it and made memes referencing it. Many users compared the trailer to the fictional series "MILF Island" from season two, episode 11 of 30 Rock, advertised as a show where 20 MILFS are put on an island with 50 eighth grade boys to compete for their love (shown below).

On December 14th, Twitter^[3] user @mekosoff posted a meme comparing the two, garnering over 35,000 likes in a day (shown below, left). On the same day, Twitter^[4] user @JuiceSimpsons posted a George Bush learning about 9/11 meme referencing the show, garnering over 1,700 likes in the same span of time (shown below, right).

On the same day, Twitter^[5] user @TonyAstroVEVO posted a video edit of the One Piece is real video where Whitebeard yells "MILF Island is real!" garnering over 4,300 likes in a day (shown below).

Post-Release Reactions

Following the release of the show, people began sharing clips from it and reacting to it, many finding the premise unbelievable. On January 20th, 2023, YouTuber^[6] Cody Ko uploaded a video reacting to the show, garnering over 1.6 million views in four days (shown below).

On January 23rd, Twitter^[7] user @joethehack posted an edited version of a scene from the show where one of the MILFs admits that she slept with her son's best friend, garnering over 500 likes and 57,000 views in a day (shown below).
