A Bunch Of Celebrities Are Talking About How Much They Don't Bathe, For Some Reason

In a bizarre development from Planet Celebrity, lots of famous actors are talking about how little they bathe themselves.

It started roughly two weeks ago when Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis went on the Armchair Podcast and discussed their minimalistic shower routines. Mila Kunis said, "I don't wash my body with soap every day," Kunis said. "But I wash pits and tits and holes and soles." Kutcher one-upped her, saying he washes his armpits and crotch, "but nothing else, ever."

While this was mildly horrifying in its own right, it was basically a small little tabloid story until other celebrities started throwing out their own bathing habits into the public domain. Kristen Bell followed it up by admitting she and her husband Dax Shephard have adopted a "wait for the stink" approach to bathing their kids, telling The View, "Once you catch a whiff, that's biology's way of letting you know you need to clean it up."

Then Jake Gyllenhall jumped in and admitted to Vanity Fair that he is "more and more finding bathing to be less necessary, at times," saying, "I do also think that there's a whole world of not bathing that is also really helpful for skin maintenance, and we naturally clean ourselves."

Now it seems all the celebs can talk about is their bathing habits. Chris Evans was pressed on how often he cleans himself, to which he exasperatedly shouted, "I shower all the time! I'm a very clean person!

The Rock jumped in to say he is the "opposite" of Gyllenhall, admitting he showers three times a day. After a Twitter user made a little joke about how that seemed weirder than not showering, The Rock actually showed up in his replies and gently ethered him.

For what its worth, Popsugar reached out to a dermatologist to clarify the amount of bathing a human should do, and Dr. Joshua Zeichner said, "Under normal circumstances, showering every day is not necessary," but, "you should wash areas like your face, groin, and underarms daily."

Hopefully, this craze will end soon and we shall stop having celebrities speak publically about their private bathing time.
