A Day After Announcing Twitch Retirement, Pokimane Plans Twitch vs. YouTuber Streamer Showdown
When the so-called "stream queen" Pokimane announced her departure from the streaming platform Twitch yesterday afternoon, many were speculating on what her future would hold.
While some were contemplating the chances of her going to YouTube streaming or maybe even Kick, Pokimane temporarily put those rumors to rest when she announced earlier today that her next stream would be tomorrow, February 1st, in a competition between YouTube streamers and Twitch streamers in three different games.

In this tournament, the two teams of streamers will be playing Valorant and League of Legends, both games owned by Riot Games, as well as a match of Codenames, with several large streamers being attached to the tournament dubbed a "showdown."
On the YouTube side is the former number 1 most subbed Twitch channel Ludwig, as well as Lilypichu, Sykuno and Myth.
On the other side representing Twitch are Tinakitten and Foolish along with the VTuber known as Filian, John Seki and Ryan Higa, with fans immediately trying to pick which side would win.
Naturally, there were also some memes and jokey reactions to the rapid follow-up post from yesterday, so one can only imagine what's going on with the higher-ups at her former platform.
