Two days before he's due to appear in court after being arrested on human trafficking charges two weeks ago, Andrew Tate is headed to the hospital.

According to a report from Romania's Observator, Tate requested a biopsy on a lung nodule, a small abnormal mass that is usually not a sign of cancer.

While it's easy to speculate on why Tate would request a hospital visit two days before a judge is due to declare if he must remain in prison or walk free during his trial, Tate himself proposed another interpretation of the events on Twitter.

"The Matrix has attacked me," he tweeted yesterday.

This is not the first time Tate has referenced the Wachowski's 1999 film. After he was first arrested, Tate told his followers "The Matrix" was attacking him. Since that incident, some Tate supporters have held up "The Matrix" as a conspiratorial force working to bring Tate down for allegedly coercing women into filming pornography as part of his purported cam girl ring.

Others have been less convinced The Matrix is behind the controversies surrounding Tate at the moment, as it seems much clearer to many that Tate is being reasonably charged with an allegedly heinous crime.

It is unclear how Tate's recent hospitalization will affect his upcoming court date, and as of today, he's yet to follow up on the result of his visit.
