Despite Many Claiming to Have Gone the Among Us Themed Impostercon Is Not Real

Despite hundreds of tweets from people claiming to have gone and met up with others at an Among Us themed convention called "ImposterCon," the event does not actually exist.

On July 29th, a growing trend on Twitter surrounding the hashtag "#ImposterCon" emerged, with it reaching all the way to the #1 trending topic on Twitter after a few hours of the supposed event starting. With tweets making several references to amogus memes like sussy baka, the large interconnected roleplay was underway.

While many made tweets and memes about various Among Us references, there were some who decided to take it a step further and incorporate a well-known meme convention: Dashcon. Dashcon was a planned Tumblr convention that ended up being incredibly sad with a large lack of turnout and a small ball pit being the main attraction. The "Dashcon Ball Pit" itself was incorporated into several ImposterCon memes.

Still, others did not let the moment go to waste. Much like the hate for furry conventions, there were some who used #ImposterCon to show how they would be the real sussy bakas if an ImposterCon was real.
