Ezra Miller, whose alleged crime spree this spring and summer left many memes in its wake, has pleaded not guilty in a Vermont courtroom to charges of burglary.

Miller was charged with one count of felony burglary and one of petit larceny in an incident that saw booze stolen from a home and Miller captured on videotape allegedly doing so. Local police leveled the accusation against the actor.

Miller's other brushes with the law this summer included several assault charges in Hawaii (one of these happened because Miller allegedly punched a woman for singing the song "Shallow" from A Star Is Born one too many times at a karaoke event) and charges of grooming a minor they met at the Standing Rock protests and plying them with drugs and alcohol.

Rolling Stone magazine also revealed that Miller had brought a family of four to his gun-filled Vermont farm under allegedly sketchy circumstances. To top it all off, Miller then posted a series of cryptic memes seeming to taunt authorities back in June. A lot of people notably compared them to Kanye West.

Many have wondered if this conduct will lead to Miller getting fired from their role in The Flash, an "upcoming" blockbuster film from DC Comics. So far, it seems that there will be no consequences from the studio: Miller had a meeting this summer, and that was all which was shared with the public.

Many online joked about the lack of consequences Miller has faced for their behavior. A script for a sequel to the film is written, and would perhaps go into production if the first film does well.

Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav, who runs the studio that is releasing The Flash also faced criticism. He is already under fire for canceling other projects.

A number of commentators also argued there was a racial component to the Miller situation, suggesting if they weren't white, then the studio would do something about them.

But if this trial doesn't go Miller's way, they could very well face prison time. Many online joked that maybe Miller would have to promote The Flash from a jail cell.

Others were simply exhausted by the torrent of headlines about Miller possibly breaking the law.
