For many, the Warner Bros. merger with Discovery was already a devastating event, with multiple rounds of layoffs and several properties, including an entire movie, being cancelled in an attempt to drastically cut the operating costs and debt that Warner Bros. reportedly had accrued in recent years. Despite these drastic measures, the company still had a further bit more to go, with the latest action being called the worst one yet. Cartoon Network, the TV channel and animation studio behind several '90s nostalgia hits, was announced to have been folded into, which means merged, with Warner's Animation Studio, an act that undoubtedly will have drastic impact on the creativity and future of the network, angering thousands online. This anger was directed at the boss of the merged company, David Zaslav, who agreed to the merger only days after the studio celebrated it's 30th anniversary.

Some weren't mad at the news, and instead took on the somber approach of appreciating the wonderful memories they've had from the animation studio, which quickly turned into them posting some of the hundreds of bumpers and quick bits of animation made by the studio that would play between shows. These bumpers and shorts had varying lengths between them, with later ones trying to create a fully fleshed-out city in which all the cartoon characters would live together and interact with one another, creating a different type of feel that separated Cartoon Network from competitor child entertainment networks.

However, there also seems to be a bit of copium being passed around, as there were a few who are skeptical of the claims and aren't entirely sure that the studio is being shut down, or argue that the creativity and personnel will remain roughly the same.
