MatPat from the YouTube channel Game Theory is doing his third and final charity stream to benefit St. Jude's Hospital. This is an annual event for him in which he goes live for several hours in a row and has several collaborations with other big YouTubers planned to give the audience a large amount of content in exchange for charity money.

Among the collaborations this year is Howie Mandel, who appeared via voice clips and a cardboard cut-out.

While the plan was for the stream to go live at 1 p.m. EST, it started a little bit late, with the iconic guitar intro starting around 1:13 p.m. The monetary goal for the eight-hour stream was $1 million, but during the initial introduction, the donation goal was already 40 percent done, with over $400,000 being donated before 1:30 p.m.

During the rest of the event, donations will generate raffle tickets for merchandise and other prizes, as well as some people planning donations while their favorite streamers are slotted to be on. It was also announced during the stream that the top 100 donators at the end will get an exclusive shirt, with only 100 being created.

While no official word has been said on whether or not the charity streams will continue in the future, or if they will be for St. Jude's again, it was stated that the charity stream would be capping off a planned trilogy of streams with this being the last.
