Internet toxicologists once again have a story to debate over after an Inside Edition segment about a groom who purportedly had his wedding ruined by having his drink "spiked" with 10 Adderall pills went viral on Twitter.

According to the report, Kentucky man Billy Engle was beside himself with uncontrollable tears on his wedding day, though apparently, this was not from the emotion of the moment. His bride, Brandy, sensed something was amiss with Billy, believing he was going to pass out or perhaps have a heart attack.

The bride also noticed the wedding's officiant was acting odd, and she had to remind him of his dialogue during the ceremony. Billy and the wedding officiant supposedly both drank from the same glass.

The report also says a drug test confirmed that Billy had taken roughly 10 pills of the ADHD medication Adderall. According to Healthline, symptoms of an Adderall overdose can lead to panic, heart attacks and possibly death. No information was given as to who spiked Billy's drink, nor for what purpose.

Once the story hit Twitter, many raised questions about its validity. For starters, the reported dosage of "ten Adderall pills" struck many as odd, as Adderall pills come in varying strengths. A more informative metric would be the milligrams of Adderall found in Billy's system.

Others found the "spiked drink" part of the story rather implausible. For many, it seemed far more likely that Billy and the officiant had intentionally taken drugs – perhaps a stronger amphetamine than Adderall – than been the victim of a mysterious, nefarious prankster who was willing to part with "ten Adderall pills" for wedding day hijinks.

We may never know the truth behind what happened to Billy Engle on his wedding day, nor the identity of the mysterious Adderall spiker, but one thing much of the internet seems to agree on is that this marriage is off to a rocky start.
