Indianapolis FedEx Shooter Was A Brony
Brandon Hole, the 19-year-old responsible for the April 15th mass shooting at a FedEx facility in Indianapolis, was revealed by The Wall Street Journal on Friday to be a Brony, the term used to describe someone "obsessed" with the My Little Pony franchise.
On April 16th, The Wall Street Journal gained access to an internal Facebook memo detailing two accounts deleted at the request of the Indianapolis police connected with the shooter. No motive for the shooting was found in the memo. It was revealed, however, that the majority of the posts on the account focused on the My Little Pony franchise.
The memo states, "Brony online culture has displayed elements of far-right and white nationalist extremism," but concludes that there is no clear connection between Hole being a Brony and the shooting. It also states that about an hour before the shooting, at 10:19 p.m., Hole posted an image of My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic character Applejack, writing:
"I hope that I can be with Applejack in the afterlife, my life has no meaning without her."
The tragic shooting resulted in the loss of nine lives last Thursday evening, including the shooter, who took his own life before the police arrived.
