One Angry Gamer To Go Under New Management, Likely Radically Altering Site
Incendiary video game website One Angry Gamer is going under new management and relaunching in Q1 2021.
In a blog post published to the site this morning, an author named "Karol" wrote, "We are excited to announce that we are rebranding and restructuring the entire One Angry Gamer project. The previous webmaster has decided to invest his time into other ventures and had passed over the reigns to a new team."

That previous webmaster is William Usher, aka Billy D, who gave the site its reputation as a haven of right-wing, anti-identity politics gaming takes. The site initially gained attention for posting pro-Gamergate articles and continued to post right-wing rhetoric, criticizing games like Celeste and A Hat In Time for subtly referencing transgenderism and posting various anti-LGBTQ+ and anti-feminist takes.
Usher was widely mocked online earlier this summer when he published an infamous Traitors of America list which was in part a list of people Usher found too liberal and in part a list of people he just found annoying. It included companies like Pokémon and Disney as well as YouTubers like Markiplier and ProZD.
This was speculated to have been the death knell for One Angry Gamer, as in September rumors circulated that Usher was shutting the site down. Instead, the site is going under new management, who appear to want nothing to do with the way Usher used the site.
The blog post, titled "Time to Change," promises that new management will be "giving the website a complete make-over to its visuals as well as its culture." It also states "The new ownership is not responsible for any of the content that has been made up until 01/01/2021." Finally, the blog post makes no mention of politics in its mission statement. "We will mainly be focusing on high quality articles on your favorite topics: games, cheats, discounts, technology news and so on," it states.
