Halloween children costume of Trump's Assassination Attempt and a tweet reacting to it.

There are group Halloween costumes, there are topical Halloween costumes and then there are 15 friends trick-or-treating as the entire Trump rally assassination attempt from the summer of this year.

A photograph of a group of teen and tween boys in Philadelphia dressing for Halloween as people involved with the attempt on the former President's life in Butler, Pennsylvania has gone viral on Twitter / X.

It features a child with an ear bandage, representing Donald Trump, a child dressed as the shooter and a group of kids filling in as Secret Service agents. The photo was shared by several accounts who believe the coordinated costume portends a Trump victory in the state of Pennsylvania in the upcoming election.

While it is unclear how the supposedly right-leaning children will affect the election outcome in Pennsylvania considering none of them appear old enough to vote, the pictures did attract controversy on social media, drawing varying amounts of admiration, disgust and appreciation from various sides of the political spectrum.

While the admiration-disgust divide came along party lines, users of all political stripes had to hand it to the level of detail in the kids' group costume, particularly dressing one of the children up as the shooter, Thomas Matthew Crooks and giving the Trump-child an ear bandage.

Others cracked jokes about the sheer ridiculousness of coordinating a group costume to represent such a monumental historical event.

At the time of writing, not much is known about the kids or how this costume came together, nor how many families these children come from.

Answers to all of these questions are needed to judge just how relevant the stunt is to the election — but almost any answer will likely result in the Trump assassination attempt costume being "not very relevant at all."
