Sans Undertale Named Ultimate 'Tumblr Sexyman' After Very Scientific Tournament
For years, we have seen the birth of multiple Tumblr Sexymen, a character archetype that has grown infamous on Tumblr over the previous decade. While hordes of goofuses, mild villains and anthropomorphized shapes have had their times in the sun as the Tumblr Sexyman du jour, science has wondered, "Who is the Ultimate Tumblr Sexyman?" A "Tüber Sexymensch," if you will.
Such was the question Twitter gimmick account @sexymanOTD set out to answer over the past week, creating a bracket-style tournament to allow the people to decide who was "King of the Sexymen."

King Dice, Komaeda, Spamton, Wheatley and others put in honorable showings in the Sexyman Battle Royale, but all fell before a gripping championship match between two titans of Tumblr — Arataka Reigen from Mob Psycho 100 and Sans from Undertale.
In total, over 244,000 people voted in the championship poll, which saw Sans barely defeat Reigen 50.1 percent to 49.9 percent.

It was an honorable fight with passionate participation from fans of both characters, but ultimately, the power of Sans was too much for Reigen to overcome. Sans has long been a darling of the internet at large, not just Tumblr, and while Reigen is well known in the anime community, he came up against one of the internet's most well-beloved characters in the finals.
Sans' creator, Toby Fox, was thrilled his child won the competition and celebrated with a brief fanfiction about the outcome.
