Snoop Dogg, Edward Snowden, Saudi Princes Internet Wonders Who Will Be The Next CEO Of Twitter
Yesterday, a poll conducted by Twitter CEO Elon Musk asked the masses whether he should step down or stay on as head of Twitter, and the resounding verdict was that the majority of users want him gone.
Since the voice of the people is the voice of God (Vox populi, Vox Dei), Twitter may need a new CEO, and those following the news have suggested several possible candidates since Musk's poll concluded.
Should I step down as head of Twitter? I will abide by the results of this poll.

Snoop Dogg, the legendary rapper and marijuana enthusiast, offered himself as a potential candidate, receiving almost a million votes to put him in the CEO position. Snoop Dogg did not elaborate on what he would do as Twitter CEO if selected.

Many people in Musk's replies and elsewhere joked about elevating Tom from MySpace to the position. The oft-beloved MySpace Tom seems like an early internet nostalgia candidate for those who wish to return to the days before … well, these days.

Others suggested various political figures, such as authoritarian Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Edward Snowden. Snowden himself said that he took payment in Bitcoin and would be willing to serve.

Although Elon Musk did promise to abide by the results of the poll, a number of posters also didn't trust him. They figured that the person to replace Musk as CEO might be Musk himself because he wouldn't actually step down.

Musk has expressed much cynicism about the Twitter CEO position, wondering if anybody could possibly execute his vision of "free speech" and reverse the recent controversies that the company appears to be swarmed with. Under these nearly impossible conditions, some thought Twitter might have to resort to supernatural CEO selection methods.
I’m hoping the new Twitter CEO will be selected from the five lucky children who find golden tickets in chocolate bars. Then have them face a series of moral dilemmas that reveal their true character. That just seems like the best method. pic.twitter.com/CQy1ySdvSz

The latest Musk poll comes after a difficult week for the man who has arguably been the main character of the internet ever since he bought Twitter.
Legendary posting week: using your ex’s stalker to win a fight by fabricating a threat against your kid, having your mom show up to defend you, banning anyone who questions your story, then losing the poll you created about whether you should remain a mod

He appears to have posted the poll after watching the World Cup final in Qatar with a variety of Saudi and Qatari royals who are significant investors in Twitter.
Jared Kushner, son-in-law of Donald Trump who notably pushed for policies friendly to the Saudis and has since received over $2 billion from them, was standing next to Elon and watching the game. Some have theorized these investors pressured Musk to step down, or at least to post less.

Elon tweeted this after he was told by his Saudi & Qatari investors to get his shit together. They are not happy with the way he is proving to be an amateur CEO and asked him to step down. https://t.co/GnevG4CPu2
