Fans of the Nintendo Switch just gained a whole lot more to celebrate about it. As part of the regularly scheduled Nintendo Direct Mini Partner showcase earlier today, it was revealed many games that previously were highly regarded on other consoles would be making their way over to the Switch soon, with one of the biggest ones being NieR: Automata, a game by renowned game designer Yoko Taro.

Fans were quick to go to social media and announce their excitement at this development, for the NieR series has had a large cultural revival in the West mostly thanks to Automata.

Not content to stop at that, the last reveal of the event was the long-running spinoff series to Shin Megami Tensei, Persona, having its most recent entry Persona 5 Royal also getting announced as coming out on the Switch in October.

Even that wasn't the end, however, as it was then revealed that the previously hard-to-emulate and play Persona 3 and the widely popular Persona 4 Golden would also be making their way onto the system in 2023, effectively cashing in on the large appeal the franchise received after the release of Persona 5 in the West.

Many fans were absolutely beside themselves with the news, as it also mentioned that the Persona games would be coming to other consoles as well, making all gamers able to experience them. Following the Direct, many took to platforms like Twitter to share their excitement and anticipation via memes.

According to some fans, this Nintendo Direct appears to have gone down as the best one in the company's history, as it showcased a lot of games players are excited about, but also didn't tease things that are so far away that hype could eventually die out.

Numerous Nintendo fans made noise about the amount of back-to-back "Ws" the Direct was copping, putting Nintendo hype to a whole new level.
