Twitch was put in a bind earlier this week when Gootecks, the face behind one of the platform's most popular emotes, said some very un-poggers things regarding one of the people who died at the Storming of the Capitol. This led to the platform and FrankerFacez banning Gootecks' face and needing something to replace it. Their solution, for now, is a new PogChamp every 24 hours.

Many streamers have been jockeying for position as the new PogChamp after the ban was announced, including calls for Komodohype to take the spot, but Twitch decided to build off a suggestion from Sean Plott, who said that when one types "PogChamp," a streamer making the face will show up at random.

The lucky streamer who gets the honor of being the first new PogChamp is Kenny "Unroolie" McWild.

The platform will introduce a new PogChamp in 24 hours, but unroolie will still be accessible under the PogChamp global emote across the entire platform.
