YouTube IMPROVING CONTENT ID We understand just how important revenue is to our creator community, and we've been listening closely to frustrations about the loss of monetization during the Content ID dispute process. To address these concerns, we plan to roll out a new solution that will allow videos to earn revenue while a Content ID claim is being disputed it'll work when both the creator and 3rd party choose to monetize the video. When a content ID claim is made, we'll hold the money generated on the video until the claim or dispute has been settled, and pay it out accordingly to the appropriate party VIDEO ON YOUTUBE 2 CLAIM IS PLACED 3 DISPUTE PROCESS RESOLUTION Creator uploads video to YouTube 3rd Party claims video through Content ID. If creator believes the claim is invalid, they may choose to dispute it Dispute is settled. NEW! NEW! 0 Money will be paid to 3rd party unless creator disputes the claim. If disputed, monetization continues and money is held Monetization continues and money is still held until dispute is settled Money held goes to either the creator or 3rd Party. Monetization starts. Assumes creator is opted into monetization.
